Our Appeal

Nepal’s fuel sector is the major cause of total trade deficit due to 100% refined fossil oil imports from third country. There-fore, HARC has entered in biofuel (biodiesel) production to contribute for the import substitution through green and re-newable fuel sources i.e. Jetropha and other non-edible oil seeds, waste oil and animal fats. HARC is quite sensitive with the food security issues while using plant seeds for diesel pro-duction. Thus, HARC will integrate crop production services while using oil seeds for diesel production. On this ground, HARC wish to join hands with all concerned stakeholders at international, national and local levels to initiate and promote biofuel industry in Nepal in sustainable way to support green economy of the country.
